General casual chat accessible by all Matrix users. Come socialize with anonymous internet randos, what could possibly go wrong? Code of Conduct:
https://4d2.org/legal.html#coc18+ only. Underage users will be banned.
THIS IS NOT A DEBATE ROOM. IT IS NOT A SPACE FOR YOU TO BE A CHRONICALLY ONLINE KEYBOARD WARRIOR.
Anyone having a conversation that you wouldn't have, in full voice, in front of others in an actual coffee shop while slow jazz is playing in the background will be banned with the reason "no chill." We will not explain or defend these bans; they are at our discretion. This is not intended to restrict friendly, low-intensity debates of things like politics, or brief, deep technological discussions, because of course those conversations happen in real coffee shops.
This is a coffee shop, not a madhouse public square where people stand around with signs and megaphones.
